Absolutely the best rendition of He’s Gone

Absolutely the best rendition of He’s Gone. You can’t listen to this and not transcend to somewhere unseen. Have your problems put in perspective. Gain strength for your day. Evolve! Thank you Grateful Dead for all that, and more! Kisses to those who have already left us; we’ll meet on the other side someday. /watch?v=dRwq9HrkTI0&feature=share

Rainbow to the left of me, sunset to the right, here I am, happy in the middle…

Rainbow to the left of me, sunset to the right, here I am, happy in the middle… My thoughts this election cycle: It seems a given that most politicians lie, cheat and steal, so there’s nothing shocking this go-round And if that’s true, then all that we voters can do is cast our ballot for the individual who we feel lies, cheats and steals from the public the least, and has contributed the most It also seems a given that, if Americans want politicians who are mostly pure, then we need to not only elect those who are, but we […]

On presidential elections 2016

My thoughts this election cycle: It seems a given that most politicians lie, cheat and steal, so there’s nothing shocking this go-round And if that’s true, then all that we voters can do is vote for the individual who we feel lies, cheats and steals from the public the least, and has contributed the most It also seems a given that, if Americans want politicians who are mostly pure, then we need to not only elect those who are, but we also need to feel compelled to continue standing with them once the liars, cheaters and thieves come gunning for […]

Stay at home moms of the 60’s

Where I grew up in Bethpage, NY, there was a different ethnic family living in every other house on the block. Some were 1st generation immigrants. You shouldn’t really look back, but sometimes…

More oldies that have caught my attention. This is in front of my home in Bethpage, NY. Two neighborhood kids (that seem more like family) are on the left, and my youngest brother is on the right. Aren’t they all so frigging adorable! P.S. When I was 15, I busted the window out on the far righthand side the night before we moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. All in the name of “showing them” – meaning, the new owners, how I felt about them buying my house. Forty years later, that new owner graciously invited me inside. And not […]

Ew Things

Some of the “Ew Things” I see on my daily walk: Sitting on a park bench overlooking the ocean today, I was paused there to text my son back when some 60-ish looking man approached me from behind, “Can I sit next to you?”“No.”“No?!!!”“I’m sorry, I’m texting my son, what did you say?”“Can I sit next to you?”I looked down the length of the 2-mile boardwalk, observing the mostly vacant benches that are spaced one every three feet, and said, “Well, it’s public property, but there’s a lot of other empty benches around.”“Yes, I know. But I just thought it […]
