At 6:24pm, on June 24, 2016, page 1089, I finished writing my book. With the last word I burst into tears and laughter and threw myself on the bed, and did the same. It’s been 10 years in the making. Of course, it’s not done done. It’s kind of like pregnancy. You think once that baby comes out, everything’s gonna be easier. But that was just the beginning. Raising those babies is the hard part. From our beautiful daughter: Happy Father’s Day to my daddy, who helped me grow from this tiny yet demanding lump to the fully formed and still demanding woman that I am today. Thank you for teaching me that loving pink princesses and kicking a soccer ball really far are both qualities to be cherished in a daughter. I love you!!
