This is the five mile twist and turn road from town to the little remote villiage where I stay. I can’t get enough of it. Funk gets in tomorrow night and will be here for more than a week, and then we both head back to the mainland. It’s been an incredible stay. So much inner work, but so worth the isolation and time. Hawai’i is as close to heaven as you can get on earth

To me, Hawai’i is as close to heaven as you can get on earth. The energy here reminds me of when I helped bring babies into this world. I always felt like I was walking two worlds at once: heaven and earth. That’s how it is here everyday; you just naturally walk both worlds. I especially love that this seems to be common knowledge among the locals, along with them knowing our ancestors are all around us, willing to lend a hand, and just for the asking.
