It’s a big deal to lose a sister.
As with all things related to hindsight, there are many could’ves, should’ves and would’ves, especially where it concerns someone’s passing. But the point is, if you try your hardest in all your dealings, then that’s all you can really expect of yourself.
My head understands that truth, and I preach it to my children, and to anyone else who will listen to me, but I have a hard time comforting myself with similar words. Probably because most things I set my mind to I win, I’m not used to failing.
PLEASE, this isn’t a cry for more empathy from all you wonderful people – I’ve received more than my fair share of that – these are just thoughts that I’m thinking, that might help someone else.
