My College Roommate, from Salem, West Virginia My friend Sue has joined me in Hawaii for 2 weeks. Old friends sure do help get your mind off the unexpected death of a sister, at least for small snippets of time throughout the day. And that they look the other way when you’re a big grump, or are completely withdrawn into yourself from grief, or are simply just trying to finish writing your book so that you can put your husband out to pasture, is such a relief.
