14 May 2018: It is with terrible sadness that I report the passing of my brother Robert this afternoon. It was a difficult last few months, and he just couldn’t pull out of it. I will miss him, and all the plans that we never had a chance to put to action.

Thank you for being so sweet. He signed up for a Facebook account just so he could see all the love you had sent his way. I believe it baffled but thrilled him, and I thank you so much for that. For doing that for a complete stranger.

Love and peace to all of you. xo

April 22: One last update on this post: Sunday morning: I’ve spoken with my brother Robert twice a day since he was taken off life support, and each time his voice is stronger than the time before. He still has chemo to contend with, but one foot in front of the other. I thank you all again, so very much, for helping get my brother to this place for us. All the love, Gloria xoxoxo

Recovery post: I just spoke to my brother Robert! He made it.

Thank you SO very much for your prayers and kindness. I have no doubt that the extra love sent up on his behalf contributed to his turnaround.

And that you’d do this for me – pretty much a complete stranger, and for him – a total stranger, blows my mind (in a good way!).

If you need a prayer for any reason, I will pay it forward.

Thank you again. xo

April 16: Original post: My brother Robert was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. He picked up a staph infection when they were putting in a port for chemo, and now he’s on life support.

If anyone has the time and inclination to send up a prayer for his comfort, peace and miraculous turn-around from this desperate situation, I would be forever grateful.

All the love,
Gloria
