Power.
That’s what 2020 is all about. A fight for power and control. On a global and personal level.
The happenings this year aren’t random. We’re living a big moment in time. Since we’re right in the thick of it, it’s hard to make sense of what’s going on. In the small glimmers of understanding I’ve had, I feel the universe is shifting. That it’s demanding a shift. Is hurtling us towards a higher vibrational level. Whether we want to or not. Whether it’s scary or not. Whether we see the need for it or not.
We’ve been complacent for way too long, and we’re paying our comeuppance. We’re being forced to do what us humans wouldn’t do for ourselves. Right the wrongs. Step in love, peace and compassion.
But forced or no, change is ugly and it’s surely hard. And the last dying gasps are always particularly gruesome.
Hence, the year 2020.
To those of you who are shining a light into the musty corners of the room—who are standing up and being a voice that’s shouting Yes! to the universe’s demands— then it’s likely your relationship base is shrinking because of it, and I’m sorry for that.
Many people prefer pretense, even when it’s killing them.
Yet speaking truth to those types makes them do funny things. They cling harder to the old ways, to the harmful programming. They stand in victim. Attack. Say you’re nuts. Cast you from their lives.
Here’s to you if you have the courage to stand alone. Because the truth is, the universe will get her way. She always does. Therefore, it’s time get on with it. Our thinking is skewed. As my spiritual sister Toby says, “True power is not about control—it’s about empowering others.”
